Distilled in mid-2025 from wild Aquilaria crassna gathered in Pursat, this oil carries the unmistakable signature of high-grade Cambodian agarwood.

The wood was prepared in a traditional style, soaked for five days, then slowly cooked over firewood, a method that, when matched with worthy wild material, can produce an oud of real depth, colour, and atmosphere.

The opening is smooth, rich, and immediately Cambodi in spirit. A deep jammy sweetness rises first, dark, fruity, and resinous, with the feel of wild forest fruits slowly cooked down into syrup.

There are shades of ripe plum, dried berries, soft apricot, and dark molasses, balanced by the gentle bitterness that gives true Pursat oil its backbone.

As it warms on the skin, the wild character becomes clearer. Blonde tobacco, autumn leaves, softened suede, and old resin begin to unfold beneath the sweetness. There is also that beautiful realism of Cambodian oud chips resting on hot coal giving it a glowing, woody, slightly smoky, and deeply nostalgic quality.

What makes this oil special is its balance. It is sweet and jammy, but not flat or sugary. The wild Pursat material brings dryness, depth, and a faint bitter edge that keeps the profile elegant and alive. The sweetness continues to deepen into warm resin, while the earthy, leathery, and woody facets breathe gently through the composition.

This is not a modern Cambodi built only around soft, cloying sweetness. It is a fuller and more traditional expression, jammy, wild, resinous, and beautifully aged in spirit, with the quality and depth expected from genuine high-grade Cambodian agarwood.
